This scheme aims to improve the energy efficiency and comfort conditions of homes occupied by low-income households, and to establish the systems and growing the capacity in Ireland to install such measures.
Celtic Community Link is a Rural Development Initiative based in South Tipperary & Waterford and Carmartenshire in Wales. The project sought to determine the best method for the Third Sector to provide services to rural areas so that volunteers, community champions or potential social entrepreneurs do not have to travel to urban areas.
The idea for the digital recollections project was borne from the 1937 National Schools Folklore Study. The project assumed a more modern feel and instead of a pencil, students would be allocated digital recording devices to conduct the interview process, and on completion of this process, the narratives would be uploaded on to a website.
